Locking Glove Box

did they ever make a locking glove compartment for any of the 88-91 civics?

i was wondering if they did so i could go to the local junkyard or even the dealership and pick up a locking mechanism for it and install it.

    To my knowledge they didnt come out with it factory but i think the fitment is the same on other models i.e Integras so you might be able to swap one over.

    Anyone else done this?

    I was also thinking bout this a while back. The glove box door is not the same, but I think the actual locking mechanism from the 90-93 Integras will bolt onto the Civic glove box. BUT, I havent verified this yet.

    Yep, exactly what i meant... i just read my original post and it isn't really that clear... hehehe
