intermindent charging system failure

ok i have a intermittent charging system failure , the alternatnor charges the battery and then a week or a months go my it fails to charge the battery. and my lights go bright and the dim as well all the the lights basically. Can some one tell me if you ever expierenced this be for and how to fix it ot even a clue

    Take it to a Schucks/ AutoZone/ Checkers or whatever is in the area and ask them to check it out. These stores usually have a roll cart that they can bring out to your car and test your altenator and load test your battery. Its free and usually will nail the problem in less than 5 minutes.

    Just remember, the person checking it is also in the business of selling parts too.

    yeah i did that at autozone it checked out fine so thats what makes me think . then it also makes all the lights go dim and bright all the time not constantly but a random times

    yeah thats what it does occasionally but i been trying to find out wha coud be the reason i have a good altanator and a good battery son it must be in between

    :o It's the alt. :!: It'll test fine,but still doesn't werk at times.

    :D It'll only cost $1 to fix.Send me $20 & I'll tell you... :lol: :lol: It's the brushes.Goto a alt.shop & buy the brushes for a dollar.I've replaced them on many Civic alt.s. Or you can buy another alt.

    Total time: 2hours & that includes alt. R&R .
