it will fit.. but will it work? well, i believe the wagon fan position controls are connected mechanically by a cable to the air passage door... and by the looks of the Rex one, its electrical so i dont think its really possible...

unless you spend a good long amount of time swapping out the wagon HVAC system for a Rex one and wiring it and what not...

thats just what i think its like.

    does look good though

expletive. i was hopeful, the sliders seem so un-smooth.

funny thing is i was going to PM you and i thought, "nah, i pm him questions all the time i will just post it." and then you answer.

    LOL.

Thats the standard controls for all JDM wagons including the sub-model Civic Pro. The EF5 has the EF9 climate controls. 8)
  • I think all you need is the lower half of the HVAC Box that sits behnd the glovebox??? I think???? :? Shenrie knows some about this if I'm correct. And if you decide that you don't want to do it, send me the control unit and I will do the R&D on this :D

Im no expert here as I havent tried this conversion personally, but this is the info I was able to scrounge up. Weterh its 100% or not, I have no way to verify.

From what I was able to gather when I was looking into this was that you need the lower half of the hvac as evol911 said (only I thought it was located behind the climate controls/stereo) where all the different functions of the climate controls change the flow of air. def, heat, face, etc. Basically where all the cables go to from your climate controls. The actual cables (wont be as many as a hatch or wagon), and the climate control unit (as pictured and rare I might add).

The EF9 controls are softtouch, which translates to electronics instead of cables. So instead of cables (there will still be at least one cable for hot/cold function), theirs wires that need to be run to control functions (hvac box). Im sure if you were to get some diagrams for teh CRX wiring, you can figure it out.
  • Yeah sorry I was thinking of the blower motor, thats behind the glove box
