19s seem massive in those wheel wells, have you had any rubbing/scraping problems
are those 45offset
They are 45 offset. We had the Body Shop roll and weld the quarters. The front fender wells were pulled out a little and rolled. Love the way the 19's look but you definitely lose performance. We use the big wheels for the shows and use smaller wheels for daily driving.
Hey what's up guys. Just wanted to let ya'll know that I got the wagon running after almost a year of the swap from hell. It was suppose to be a simple and smooth swap until we hit a wall in changing the clutch to a more aggressive $475 clutchmasters stage III. Put it in. The clutch would not engage. Went to exchange the clutch but the assholes in the speedshop would not take it back or give me my money back. I had to deal with clutchmasters myself. Sent them the clutch back. They sent me a new one. Put it in. Same result. At that point I gave up on that tranny.
I then bought my friends Type R tranny that I knew was good and came out of his running (GSR swap) 91 Civic Hatch. Called Clutchmasters and they said that I could use the clutch I had but I only needed change the clutch disk. I bought the other disk from them which set me back $265. Put that in. Same result. That clutch would not engage. I called Clutchmasters again they confirm that I had the right clutch. At this point I was ready to hang it up and get rid of my wagon.
My mechanic said F*#k Clutchmasters lets just put a stock clutch in the tranny. Got a bairly used stock clutch from another friend put it in and FINALLY the tranny engaged beautifully. After further review, We came with the conclution that it was the pressure plate all along. I know alot of people that are happy with their Clutchmasters clutch. But it is the first and last time that I'm dealing with them.
After 2 trannys, 3 clutches and 11 months later I can finally say that my swap is finally done. We'll almost. I just have to finish putting the rest off the wagon together. Front bumper, head lights, etc... All I can say is that it was a nightmare but it's finally done. I will post pics later....
Glad that shes finally running though! Any plans from here?
Thanks. Well before I put rest of the wagon back together Im going to work on my engine bay wire tuck. To give the engine bay a clean wireless look. Then I'll accessories the engine a bit. Got a rear fog light for the exterior. For the interior I wanna install my oem power windows and upgrade my music. A big thing is to upgrade my brakes. Now with this swap I definately need more stopping power. Im really just prepping for turbo later. Hope I don't have anymore set backs.
NJ, wasn't your wagon like a silver color??
that one is roja!
but damn does that look tight or what?!!!
ps. yeah 11 months is some seriously long downtime..so did you get your $ back from your friend's type R tranny? sounds like you went through alotta shit just to get where you are now.
My wagon's color is "HEATHER MIST METALLIC" got it from a 99' accord. It's not silver. Its actually a champagne color. Like Skater said :the picture is an example of another civic.
I used the (LSD) Type R of course. I still have the cable b16 tranny. Anyone interested? Holla.
It was a fustrating 11 months but I gotta keep it moving. I can't look back. I guess this shit happens. I just hope everything else goes smooth cause we gotta start on NJCIVICWAGON2's Swap.
have to say i give you alot of props for your time and dedication, that that most mods i have ever seen to a wagon in my whole life. keep up the good work!!!
How much money would it cost to get my ride similar to that one
NOT CHEAP....... I REALLY DON'T REGRET IT. IT'S DIFFERENT AND I GET ALOT OF COMPLIMENTS. AT THE END OF THE DAY IM HAPPY WITH IT. I DON'T HAVE A FIGURE OF HOW MUCH........AND HATE TO REALLY KNOW HOW MUCH I SPENT. IM GLAD MOST PEOPLE APPRECIATE THE WORK I PUT INTO IT.
Thought I'd share some pics of my swap. I did a basic JDM B18B swap with a rare Euro Integra Type R LSD cable tranny. After some mayor hurtles the motor is now in. I started on my wire tuck. I still have some tweaking and buttoning some stuff to do. I just want everything to be running right before I accessories the engine. What you guys think?
