what kills coils?

The reason why I ask is that either something is killing my coils, or (i doubt) The ELD is bad. Cause It's back to bucking and cutting off( loss of SPark and not battery As I assume) It keeps on starting back up so I doubt it is the new alt and battery..( cause I checked the voltage when I put the new batt, alt, and wires. What do you think? I replaced the coil and she began to run like the day she was built, but now that has eroded. And Im loss, . I saw it happen gradualy over a week or so. Maybe the distributor is wired wrong..I'll read up on it ...

    Maybe something else in your dizzy is causing the problem. My next step would be to buy a new dizzy.

    I was wondering what happened w/you...(kingstep54).
    I have a couple of extra distributors (dpfi) and while i can't guarantee that they're problem-free I can drive them on my car to prove they work, or even let you try the one off my engine. I'm in Marietta.
