My name is Max Burnett, and I just bought a 1988 Honda Civic RT 4X4 Wagon and I'm having a heck of a time finding struts for it. The previous owner replaced the stock struts and springs with a drop kit and I want to get it back to factory specs or at least close. I still have the original springs and hope they're still springy. Help!

Edited to add: The rear struts are blown and it bangs on every bump, otherwise I could live with it for now.

    Have you looked on RockAuto? Should be able to find something there. The banging you are hearing is likely a rear trailing arm bushing and not a strut. Post up some pics!

    I found the original struts and ordered replacement lower control arms. Hopefully that will make it a bit more driveable. I’ll post pics when I can figger out how. I’m a bit rusty at this forum thing.
