Got me a wago project

in Rides & Builds- Civic wagons
picked this up last night. took AAA till 2 am to get it here. Needs a head gasket. has 240k, speaker pods, good tires, clean windshield and just a tiny spot of rust in the rear wheel well.

    manual trans. the timing belt and water pump look fairly new also. got the head off today but spent most of it getting the cooked headgasket off so ill try to get it back together tomarrow. the manifold is cracked but i still have an RT exhaust manifold that ive been holding onto for about 3 years now. cant wait to rip her around the block tomarrow.

    Charb can thread jack i dont mind haha. As for updates got the new headgasket in and the head tourqued down but stopped to hit up the pumpkin patch with the wife and kiddo.

    Well got the IM bolted back on and some other misc AC and PS crap hooked back up. Need to get the mani on and put the raidiator back in so i can see how she runs and drives.

    maybe but i plan on trying to sell this thing asap. We are moving into our new place and ive got about $2500 worth of garage door, washer, fridge, and misc crap to buy when we move in.

    Well I got it all back together minus the radiator. So I went to fire it up and she turned over just fine and i could hear a very faint backfire like sound from the exhaust for about a half second then nothing but engine cranking..... I double checked the timing its good, ive got fuel, brand new plugs re-gapped, ive got compression, spark, and no codes. I was just flipping through the honda repair book the car came with and there was a blue post it being used as a book mark on the page on how to test your coil and ignitor.... So i took the cap off and its kinda nasty and burnt but it looks like im getting a decent spark when i test fire the plugs. Is it possible that the spark is weak and the fuel along with the compression is blowing the spark out? Ive got a buddy in town with a wagon that im gunna go rob his dizzy and see if it makes her run. I sure hope so cuz i have no clue WTF it could be.

    HAHA I so am. Its up on CL for $3600 but I would let it go to a fellow HCW member for a lot less. I realy shouldnt sell it the dam thing drives nice and winter is on its way but oh well. Ive got snow tires for my EP3.
