LS swap HELP

i have a 4wd wagon and i wana dropp an ls swap in it and eliminate the 4wd system and just make it front wheel is it possible ? can anyone help me with this ... some ppl tell me its possible and others tell me it cant be done ... someone pls help thnx

    ya its possible ive seen it done. since your wagon has a cable shifter u will need to switch it to a rod shifter which shouldnt be too hard the boles for the bolts might already be there in the floor if not it cant be too hard to fab that up. u will also have to cut a hole in the floor for the shifter. your pas side tranny mount is different from standard fwd civics theres a few different ways to deal with this either drill out all the spot welds on the frame remove the mount then make your own or modify the mount. when i put a 4wd tranny into my CRX i had to do the same thing but the oposite i was going from a fwd to 4wd so i cut the whole mount off and made my own but ive seen another guy just modify his stock mount so its all up to u on how u want to make it work. as for the rest of the 4wd u can leave the rear end, rear axles, and 4wd swing arms on the car but if i were doing this i would look for some fwd wagon rear suspension just so u can truely get rid of all of it.... iono theres a few different ways to do it its not impossible just a lil different.

    BTW ill buy most of your old 4wd parts

    why not get a dohc zc and just keep it 4wd?
    Or sell it and buy a 2wd in better shape for your money?
    The swap will be significately easier with a car that is already 2wd.

    if anyones selling a fwd wagon let me kno will consider an even trade even if its a shell ... someone in the NY area hit me up ... im not tryin to do a zc i have a fully built Ls-Vtec im tryin to drop in it ill have a real sleeper

    Get a CRV transmission and keep it 4WD.

    yes, definatly trade it for someones 2wd. i've seen alot of people that are dieing to read a post like this. i'm sure many on this forum are wanting a strait up 2wd to 4wd trade.
