wire tuck help

Hey guys gotta question for you all I recently started doing a wire tuck to my wagon and came across a problem. I have tucked my drivers side headlight and intake manifold. headlight works great but i plugged it back up to make sure that i did the manifold right..apparently not. the car will start and then quickly shut off if i turn the key all the way off it does it again. I think this might be due to me using a larger guage wire (its all i had) the harness consists of mostly 16 and 18 guage but i used 16 for my extensions even for the 18 guage wire. Would this cause this problem? im not lasy i did nurmorus searches and cant really fiind anything.I checked all the connections and everything is hooked up. car ran befor i did the tuck. I just wanna see if someone knows for sure before i redo the harness again Thanks for your help -Evan

Could this be a ground issue?

  • it sounds like a problem with the map sensor circuit.

this is why i leave wiring alone. i dont understand electrical stuff so i leave it as is!

    (im of no actual help)
  • Yeah, I second the map sensor circuit. Also make sure the ecu ground that normally goes to the thermostat housing is grounded well, although that would prevent the car from starting at all if it wasn't.
  • It should throw a code, let us know what code it threw.
