New accidental wagon owner

Was looking for a cheap beater civic for the wife and came across an 89 civic wagon. Got it for 700 bucks and it runs fantastic. Body is terrible, but interior is in very nice shape. I'm hoping I didn't just start a new addiction, but look forward to researching and rebuilding this thing.

    Not a bad find! Very similar to my situation as well. I bought mine for my girlfriend to drive, but ended up falling in love with it and had to get her something else so the wagon could be mine :twisted:

    is it the tan one with the complete passenger side tore up? i seen on in fairfax craigslist listed as a "civic" for $900. few days later some complete stranger knocked on my door and just gave me their 91 rt4wd.

    That's great. Everything I've looked at is either shredded on the inside or looks like it was hit by a rust bomb.

    Yeah, I picked it up in Vienna. I never even new these things existed until I saw it on CL. A buddy of mine came over today and helped me beat out some of the passenger dents. If I can find a paint to match, i'll probably just dust the doors since they are wrecked beyond salvage.

    I'm already on the hunt for one in nice condition to trade my 4runner for. This thing is just too much of a beater to put any more money into.

    Yeah I past on that one, I was gunna send my mom to look at it for me. I have 2 Wagons now. Grew up in NoVa so I always look at their CL for Hondas. Way beter deals down there then here if you can even find em. You should have seen my first one it wasn't as bad as that one but it was bad and it looks a lot better now. Welcome to wagon fever =]
