90 wagon in ny

Hey got my first wagon and I am in starry eyed and in love, especially after the last little snow storm. Sit spins can never get old and stopping in front of my brother in laws stuck 240 on a hill and going up said hill with out a problem ha ha. I picked it up for 600 put new tires on did the brakes I def got a high mileage project car it has 230K I want to do a rebuild on the motor, and the tranny is grinding and reverse is very loudly on its way out.
