Hello, I'm so thrilled to be a part of this community!

Hi all,

I just sold my 1974 VW camper bus and purchased a 1990 Civic Wagon a week ago: 427731_3035189713647_1080066869_2734813_1815742483_n.jpg

She is gorgeous, a few dings and scratches, but nothing major.

I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you!

Best,
James

Welcome! Glad to have you on the Honda side of life. I have my 71' transporter for sale right now. I'll probably buy another wagon when it sells!

Welcome aboard. The wagon looks like a nice starting place. If you're new to Hondas, there's lot to read and learn. Enjoy your stay.

Welcome. Looks like a good start.

Like the old CRX Si wheels.

And, what was this old VW camper?

Where are you joining us from?

I am located in Sacramento, CA. I'm looking to read up on anything I can get my hands on, so if there are any suggested readings please let me know. I'm still trying to find an affordable owners manual somewhere.

I should also mention I'm a very poor college student. :D

As of right now the car needs a few things:
-New lift struts to hold open the trunk.
    -New EGR valve.
    -New CVC solenoid.
-New frame for the mirror on the right side of the car.

Other than that, she is running like a champ. 197k, new tires, new alignment.

  • Welcome to the site; definitely a good starter.

I believe I have extra parts for the right mirror including the mirror housing. Let me know exactly what you need and I'll see what I have.

As a new user I cannot PM you about making a deal on parts. If you could send me an email that would be fantastic. jwpezet@hotmail.com

    Thanks,

Thanks chuckshin. Sorry I haven't replied. My car broke down on Monday on the highway. Out of nowhere she lost power and my gas pedal was doing nothing. Couldn't get her to start. Took her into the shop where they told me I need to put a whole new motor in it.

It has been a stressful/depressing week to say the least..
  • I wouldn't do that just yet. Go to the engine section and they will help you out. It could be something simple like a main relay, which is only around $50. My car just did the same thing yours has, and after doing some research, I believe that the ignition coil is bad. That part is inside your distributor and is around $60. So I would try to diagnose it before you swap in a whole new engine, unless you want to do a swap for more power.

    just my $.02
