WA 1990 RT... Month by Month

So im new to the honda world but stoked to have a wagon. Its the first practical car i have ever owned. This is going to be my month by month build, a new part every month that gets this thing running the way i need it too.
So when i first bought the car i knew i needed to carry my bike, my snowboard and a box for summer camping since the inside was going to be filled with friends and my 150lb newfie. So here's month one...

also is that a CRV with purp wheels in the backgound??
Cheers. Stoked to be here. Thats my roomates CRV...
With that being said Godspeed coilovers were ordered and installed! Love the ride!
Camber kits are not to much of a concern only because these tires are shit. Skunk2 front and blox rear camber kit should be in months to come once the wheels and rubber are decided.
Is that a detailing shop I spy?
Glad you're liking the Godspeeds as well, I've got a set coming this week and was hoping they'd give a good ride.
Motor-
This top endincludes a Z6 head that has been fully ported and polished, new valve guides installed, new valve stem seals, SuperTech stainless steel standard size valves, Supertech valve springs, and Supertech titanium retainers. The cam is a Delta 272-2 made from a new blank and is not a regrind. It has a Skunk2 intake manifold, AEM fuel rail, 880cc fuel injectors, Paxton adjustable fuel pressure regulator, a -6 line steel braid line from the rail to the FPR, a BDL polished billet 75mm throttle body, and NGK plug wires.
The bottom end is a D16A6 engine with 1mm oversized YCP "vitara" piston, stock sleeves, Eagle rods, and ACL Race bearings. (All of the machine work was done by DG Machine in Auburn.) The crank was polished and everything was balanced and blueprinted. It also has a new water pump, timing belt, tensioner, and new OEM Honda oil pump and a twin disc competition clutch.
shes ready for boost... may be soon.

- Found a JDM bull bar
- Installed the motor
- Mounted the FPR on the manifold
- Made a throttle cable bracket for the stock cable
- New Lower ball Joints
HaHa. True that!
Me too. It actually feels really good. If anything its gonna suck in traffic but thats why i have a ruckus for cruising the city. Whats even more crazy about the twin disc is because the RT trannys have a B series spline im running a B series twin disc. And the throw out bearing had to be ground down otherwise the bearing will start to rub and just shave itself off inside the transmission.
Yup. If i can get it up and running and down to SF for exhaust and tune than i would love to join but we shall see how everything works out.
What date is the meet?
Super old turbo tech manifold from tacoma, wa. Ive yet to really see one similar
Also mounted the Paxton Fuel pressure regualtor. Had to make a bracket to hold it onto the manifold. it was hidden under the manifold but was kind of hard to adjust when you needed to.
Made a throttle cable bracket to use the stock cable.
Also got my rood rack all figured out. Managed to make my own track system with adjustable yakima towers and components. Im going to wait until the car is up and running to finish my wood fairing project. The one i currently have wasn't sealed on the back side...
the meet is this coming saturday the 21st at spanaway park. hope you make it too.
you should look into the full race traction bar. they make a half size radiator for it. still tight on clearance, but it works with my setup.
That explains it, I've only seen similar b series ones. Looks like a real tight fit though.
- Needed to shave down the counter weight on the shifter bracket cause it was hitting the charge piping when the clutch was engaged. Done!
- Been wanting to chop off the old exhaust since i purchased the car, such a piece of shit. Its outta here!
- Got some battery cables
- Mounted the front bumper. It almost cleared the FMIC but i had to whip out the saw and fix that issue
Thats one of the main reasons i like it was cause it reminded me of a old b series mugen manifold.
And its actually got a good amount of room with the power steering out and a half size radiator
I dont think ill be making it due to this stupid thing called a 9-5. I've been putting in hours on the whip everyday after work but i got to much to do, not enough time.
I would use the full race traction bar but innovative i believe is the only company that sells all 4 motor mounts and i need them since i plan on running between 300-370. The innovative front mount one makes it so you have to run there traction bar. that way its a direct fit, looks clean and will function well with whatever radiator i run. Innovative is suppose to be a great company to work with too
