Best Wife in the World -She Wants a Wagon!

My wife liked my wagon from the moment I brought home. Nice to have someone supportive of your obsession! So, the wife's CRV was down for repair last week. I handed the wagon keys to her for the week. Sigh....
Well, turned out to be worth it. She wants a wagon of her very own now. Tired of the CRV and just wants a change. We've had it for 10 years. I'm stoked! So now with 100% backing, I get to start looking for a wagon. No rush just holding out for the right find. Must be 88 or 89 RT (No automatic belts!) Auto or 6-speed doesn't matter. She knows how to work a stick!
So If anyone out there might be interrested, CRV will be going up for sale...Not officially yet. I'll post a 4-sale at that time. It's a 2nd owner 1997 with 223,000 - Little rough around the edges but well maintained and a great runner.
Sweet!

Damn, you lucked out. My wife thought I was nuts till she saw how good they could look. Why not 2wd though? Swaps are way easier and they're everywhere!

The Best Wife In The World already has a wagon.

It's nice that yours wants one too, though!

She wants 4wd for snow & such. Plus she don't need a fast swapped ride. That will be reserved for my next ride. :)

Same thing I was thinking, but mine now has a wagon AND a Cr-V

Honestly any wife that supports our ridiculous love for this odd box on wheels is great!

  • I don't own a wife yet, I've heard they're great though.
However my girlfriend feeds my obsession for the wagon by helping me do the cosmetic work that needs done and the searching of parts for it.
    8) ftw
  • My wife tolerates my wagon, but she wants me to get rid of it and get something safer. Too bad Honda doesn't make anything comparable anymore...

My wife wants no more Old Hondas, but she knows that I won't change... Lol...
I just put her in a suburban...
  • I just stole his from him and made him get a new one. I've always been into the hondas, nissans (300zx) and acuras, but the whole wagon thing scared me.. as Ive said before Im no soccor mom lol. I drove it and that was it. So he lucked out and got his own. We are looking to get a third one once I do my swap and paint. I want a panda :)

Fit isn't AWD, and the CRV isn't available with a manual. I ended up buying a Subaru Outback (last body style) about a week ago. It isn't as fun to drive (especially in the corners) but it's a manual, AWD, and "safe". It also wasn't cheap... Now I've gotta sell the wagon to make room in the garage, kinda sad about it.
  • If you weren't in NC - I'd almost be interested. Mine is a 91 though. I've always wanted a CRV, just never been able to find one on the cheap that needed work :)

Yeah, you're a little far away. I want that $3500 one on CL up your way bad! Too far away though. Buy it and I'll meet you half way! :)
  • you are lucky guy! my wife keeps telling me that does not want to be seen in mine..she tells me to tint the windows and then she will..haha

good thing she still supports me on my goals for my wagon..

over time she will realize why I decided to get my first wagon!
