What else to put in during a clutch job?

86 Wagovan with 251,000 miles on it. Clutch is gone. Just bought it and am fixing it up and really excited to have it!

My question is that since I'm putting in a new clutch what other seals and such would be good to change out while I've got all the this n that dropped down?

AND, since I found a decent deal on a rebuilt motor what is yall's experience with these old EW1 motors? Is it just a good idea to swap it out while the car is down for maintaince? Or are they just so darn good that I should try running it another 100,000?

Crank end seals, waterpump, cambelt, tensioners, Honda oil, Honda filter, 50:50 :: coolant:water. FTW.
  • thanks. I'll start gathering bits and get my new baby on the road then!

where are u located? I have a complete jdm 1st gen zc swap axles ecu trans etc.
  • I'm in South Central Colorado, a couple hundred miles from anything that anyone ever heard of. :) And to tell the truth I'm pretty sure I can change the clutch and do fine, maybe even swap one motor that exactly like another but an upgrade kinda swap might be beyond my present abilities.
