Thanks for the compliments guys. Well the ITR suspension is finally in. Its bolted on but not complete. I still have to swap my master cylinder/booster and prop valve with the DA components. I will also change to DOT4 high performance brake fuild instead of the stock DOT3.
I will keep everyone posted on the updates and results.

I cannot take the credit for this 5 Lug conversion. It was Shuttle xer(ThatDoodle), that came to me with the concept. I was only there to support and help. Without his passion and brilliants it would not be possible. It took a few months of research, trial and error, and dedication to make this conversion work and work well just like OEM. I vouche for it and very confident it will work very well.

Not only is this a 5 lug conversion but it is a OEM Big brake upgrade. Here is a comparison.... Stock 2wd wagon 9 inch front rotors versus ITR 11.1 inch front rotors....I opt to use the Acura Legend 2 piston front calipers.
    74.jpg
In the rear ITR 10.22 inch rotors. Note this is a stock 2wd wagon drum trailing arm and a modified 2wd wagon trailing with ITR rear disk conversion.

Energy suspensions Poly Ure Trailing arm Bushings. Thanks Turbo teg for the installation tips.

  • HA HA I always wanted to tease you about how small your brakes looked inside those massive rims you had, but I guess I can't say anything now. Looking good NJ I and I am still waiting on that damn center console. The dude said he sent it but I haven't seen anything yet.

  • NJCIVICWAGON1NJCIVICWAGON1 Council Member
I dought you want my old rotors. Ive had them a long time. They're faded. They've been cut once already. Im sure they are too thin.

  • NJCIVICWAGON1NJCIVICWAGON1 Council Member

Thanks for the acknowledgement. I appreciate your trust in such a important aspect of your car. It was a blessing to have you live so close to me for the simple fact that it would have been very difficult to get this sold and see the outcome in person. Im sure a lot of members were iffy about what I had come up with. Now I have a GREAT witness to vouch for the quality of this setup. Anyone interested in something like this can look at my post here on the board for bigger brake upgrades.

    Thanks FSC4wd Im flattered,
I plan to go a different route with my wagon. I like the show car look but Im now focused on performance. I hope to boost my wagon someday so I needed to beef up my brakes. Thanks to ThatDoodle I have that now. I also wanted my wagon to have a more aggressive hard look. I will make a few suttle changes in in the exterior. I promise to keep it sexy but tuff.

Next I will installed my ETD Racing traction bars. I also got a skid plate to protect my header since the wagon will be lower now. Later I plan to get some lower control arms and sway bars. Stay tuned.....

Actually not a bad idea. I know a kid who had a yellow wagon with white wheels. It didnt look bad at all. They stole it and wrecked it a week later. Nah I dont think Im going to do another full color change anytime soon.
  • I am actually liking that yellow.
  • clean car!!
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
Me, too. We're painting next weekend and I'm torn whether to change colors..maybe not 'cause that means doing the jambs...ick.

I saw a Golf the other day with a brown-mustardy yellow paint with black/red wheels. Sounds goofy but it looked really sharp.

i dont think NJ's wago would look good with that ITR yellow. its too flashy. and for those goodies you've got under the hood, its not good to be all flashy. i dont wanna sign onto HCW one day and see that NJs car got broken into, stripped, and what-not. *knock on wood*

cleanest wagon/swap thus far imo. keep it up :D
