Rear disc conversion is done, all I can say is OH MY GOD! that was just a ton of cutting and welding and crap. It was a lot of fun though. We even sand blasted all of the parts and I need to repaint them so they look decent. Also i snagged a picture of part of my shop so you guys can see what I have to work with. I will update more later as for now I need sleep.

Thanks, I appreciate that somebody had already paved the way and had some insight for me. I get to go assemble them today.

Light wiring tuck, Oh wait where's my fuse box?

Dirty dirty dirty, this is after I spent a while cleaning. Time for some Del Sol Seats!

RTA has the elusive 5th bolt used and it was easy! I might start selling those. Also those Energy suspension bushings are a biotch to put in.

What side are you going to go with, Driver? That way everyone sees you and the rear disc at the same time?

Fab looks good man! Its nice to have a shop, but oh boy does that look cluttered. I thought my shop was bad and we can fit 7 cars in it in conjunction with all the tooling we need to pretty much do any fab work we can do (for the most part, we have access to a lathe and mill off site). It seems cluttered, maybe its that I get clausterphobic but I dont know how much of that I could handle.

Yeah we have it very organized and it's twice the size of what your seeing, but it is a full fledged shop rolled into a 2 car garage. I mean we even have a crazy old machine for cutting gears and we just rebuilt our surface grinder and we have all the stuff to make and resharpen carbide cutters. However we dont have a good heater and it's 34 degrees here in AZ.

    Updates!
Wow, figured you had ditched the wagon thing, guess not.

Anyways I figured out the previous owner of my car got in a severe accident and then had it put back together at some cut rate shop. Pretty much anything that bolts onto the front end is bent or tweaked and some how just doesn't work right. Also since it's so cold out I don't like hanging out at the junkyard all day parts are kinda hard to get. Oh well
  • leWolfleWolf Senior Wagonist
Junkyard run today to snag the front suspension parts I need. Then comes reassembly, wish me luck!

Work Begins again! It's been a few months since I last tore into this and I finally have enough cash to finish it.
    350.jpg
Ok so this doesnt look killer bent but if you look that brace is pulled away from the suspension enough to stuff my pinky in the crack. So I bought another one from the junkyard.
    351.jpg
New vs Old! Also the boots on my steering rack need to be changed badly, that grease inside is all chunky so it probably could just use a good cleaning anyways. I couldnt work in the garage too long though due to the heat.

Tonight I started my Sir swap for the first time.I have been working on this for 2 1/2 years and it sounds so nice (loud but nice), and MAYBE next week I'll get to drive it.
    Stay tuned for updates.

Well the water pump took a crap and the clutch kit I bought was the wrong one. I installed a hydro clutch and I officially hate myself.
