Tips on installing a half size radiator

I need a new radiator and am thinking with how close the header is to the fan a half size would unclutter that area. It looks as though you would have to make some sort of bracket to hold it in and would also have to remount the AC fan.

Has anybody done this and could give me some pointers?

    fullrace makes one for the ef. not sure if you have to use their traction bar though. check out their site full-race.com

    You need an aftermarket crossmember with lower mounting position or modify your current oem ones. The halfie is about 2 inches taller than an 88-91 civic radiator. Some people cut out the support that the stock holders are mounted to and just wedge it in there. It looks terrible though. The CRX HF radiator is physically thinner and lighter than any other 88-91 radiator. If that's your intention. You would need the HF lower radiator hose though, it has a smaller Inner Diameter on the hose and radiator inlet.

    its a real pain in the ass.i just made a trac bar with a half rad and to get it all working properly with the trans mount sucks.then there is minimal room for down pipe/header.who wants to spend 350 on a full race rad?not me.oem fan and shroud cools the best.

    Without an aftermarket crossmember, they usually have a 'gangsta lean'.

    It looks like you took only about 1/2" notch out of the radiator. Seems like the "gangsta lean" in the previous post was extreme for that small difference. I'm not leaning towards any lean.

    Seems like the size need for these wagons is common enough that there would be an aftermarket sized for them.
