need new main bearings...

So im rebuilding my A6 and i want to replace the main bearings. We got ahold of honda and looks like the "brown main bearings" are discontinued....anybody know where i can get some? we were told they are sold in halves, so i'd need six halves or three whole bearings.

My buddy works for horsepowerfreaks and we know ACL makes some but that would require a machine shop doing some work and i really dont feel like doing that, unless i have to.

    Just get a set of standard shells. I've used Sealed Power with success. Through several Honda rebuilds, Std. bearings have sufficed. I do Plastigage every journal just to be sure.

    i suggest getting Taiho bearings if you can, they make the OEM bearing for honda, and they offer sets of STD sized bearings for the aftermarket.
