timing belt

ok i have done some reading and i have done this job a few times but i cant seem to get the motor to drop down on my wago i do have the rtawd but i still dont see it being anymore of an problem the motor settled about an inch and wont drop anymore. do you guy just go for it with that are is there something i am missing i need to get this done so i can check my compression. i hope the for the best.
any insight will be great.

  • If u did a swap from a different car, check the oil pan.

    No need to lower the engine. Pull the crank pulley off then place jack under oilpan. Pull driver side motor mount. Then proceed to pull the covers and timing belt.

    exactly. no need to lower anything at all.

    not too sure what you are trying to do, but a timing belt replacement has nothing to do with lowering the engine.
  • What model is your Honda? I replaced my timing belt while it was up on jack stands. The only real difficulty was removing the crank pulley. I recommend sliding a length of pipe over a 18" breaker bar to get a nice, long lever arm. It would not budge with a 500 ft lb impact wrench but did when I went the low tech way.
