I've possibly found some software from a guy here in nz. I have sent him a message so eill wait or the reply
Here is his system $4k is a bit steep for me, hence me making my ownhttp://nzhondas.com/general-discussion/78842-all-singing-all-dancing-car-systems-56k-beware.html
Someone else has bidded on the touch screen I was looking at so hopefully there is another one/it doent go for too much.
Just trying how to get the computer to turn on with the key. I Can't have it powered up all the time otherwise I'll have flat battery issues.
Kinda. It wont work with the pc I'm using. It uses a laptop style psu
This little bad boy http://www.shuttle.eu/products/ultra-small/xs35gt/overview/. Nice and small and uses SFA power. I originally bought it to make into a media pc but this seems like a more interesting project.
I'll crack it open tonight and have a look.
Picked up my monitor last night and found a interface software. I've downloaded the trial version so i'll see how it works this weekend.
It doesn't need to sync with my cellphone or log diagnostics or anything crazy, just needs to play music and use GPS nav.
My other hobby is PC Case Modding and I thought it'd be nice to combine the two but for me it'd be a solution in search of a problem. My Android phone will do GPS navigation and with an adapter it'd store MP3s for the stereo. (Actually I'd need a different stereo; this one only has a single CD slot.) The point is that I don't need a carputer to serve these two functions.
Now if you open up the use from 'just music' to 'entertainment' you'd have more justification for a PC in your car.
