Car sluggish and hates the heat! Help!

Well i get old blue running but i blew the coil pack and got stranded. But got it home and i pick up a new pack tomorrow.

Also it has trouble starting in the heat when is over 80F it take like 15 min to cool before is dose anything.
Some times is will start but i have to crank it for 10sec and push a little on the gas.

I ran some 44k thought the fuel system and adjusted the clutch but is still runs sluggish and still has slow acceleration.
I have new injectors ordered and replaced the fuel filter a little while ago.

So i don’t know what else to look for or fix any ideas? :?

  • I wouldn't automatically assume the no start and sluggish acceleration are caused by the same problem.

Typical temperature related no start culprits: Igniter or main relay

Sluggish acceleration could be half a dozen things.
When was the last time it had a thorough tune-up?
Check the timing and the fuel mixture.
Is it getting "good" spark? Not just any weak spark, but a good solid ignition.
How old is the catalytic converter? They do clog with age.

You could literally spend weeks doing trial and error. Don't be afraid to spend $50 or even $100 at a quality garage or the *gasp* dealership for diagnostic labor. I personally spent a ridiculous amount of time/money chasing down an idle problem by myself. I gave up and took it to the dealership and they found a sensor/bad connection problem in 45 minutes. I gladly paid the $60.

Um the cad i took off and banged the sh!t out of it and got rid of all the stuff in side it and the muffler fell off in the process. So scratch that.

Just did a tune up new cap, rotor and sparks. Air filter, belts are good and i did a oil change. Um I getting new injectors here in a day. Scratch some of that.

What i believe happened was that the disturber cap, on of the pins were broke and I didn’t realize it at the time so it probably arced and fried the Coil and the Ignition Module :x
Cause when i took it off the cap and it was chard really good o the top pin aka the broken pin. :x

I just got a new coil but it still didn’t get any spark thus is must be the Ignition Module.

So there another expense and might as well replace the main relay while im at it.

Does any of this make since? or am I still missing something?
