only jdm cars have that light its for the catalysator-but its only for a few seconds on when you put the ignition switch in or is it lighting while you driving?
  • it lights up when u put the throttle on. very strange.
  • That light is to let you know that your catalytic converter is overheating and possibly not functioning properly or that you have another problem causing your cat to overheat.

check out your lambda sond or you have a hole in the header so that fresh air gets into the exhaust and you have more air than fuel in the burning room-the sond /sensor maybe send wrong results to the ecu

The joke back in the day in regards to this symbol was... 'you just smoked a chevy'.

There was a sensor in the cat convertor, just earth out the wire that was connected to the sensor and the light will disappear

If you removed your cat converter its not bad for you car. All that light means is the converter is overheating.
