1991 rtawd new to wagons

was up guys, humorwvp here. Just joined yesterday. I'm from northern california, and drove to Portland Oregon last week to pick this baby up. The stock d16a6 is old and tired so I'm about to order a dohc zc. Once I find out how to post pictures I'll post one. The engine swap is my first thing in my long to do list for this car.

Welcome from another Northern California wagon owner.Traveled to Oregon ehh.
  • you from Stockton cool I grew up in Merced. but now I live in Eureka Ca. which is like 6 hours north of Stockton. Oregon border from here is like 1 hour and 30 minutes. Yea it was either find a car in the bay area or find one in Oregon what ever came first. It's still a 5 hour drive to the bay area from here so it didn't matter which way I went. What matters now is that I'm a proud owner. lol

no better feeling than knowing that a 20yr old car passing the CA smog test. Did they do an idle test or was there a 4 wheel dyno?
  • no no dyno test. As far as the test it was just a regular old smog test and it idles fine. I was surprised it passed because it does burn oil and lil puffs of blue smoke do come out the tail end. I think it helped what I did to it though, I changed the oil with 20-50 weight so it didn't get passed the rings and new spark plugs. lol
