Hello! Va Rt4wd Newbie!

Hello everyone!

Names Troy, and i live in stafford, va. hondas are my favorite car, and the prelude platform is my favorite. I Currently own a 2001 Honda Prelude base, under reconstruction, and i also own a 1989 Honda Civic RT4WD, my current daily!

I have also owned, 1988 Honda Prelude, 1990 Honda Civic Base.

The civic platform is slowly growing on me, mainly my wagon.

Purchased my wagon with a blown headgasket, for 1000$, parents bitched me out, but hell it was my money, and i had just wrecked my hatch, and couldnt drive the lude. The wagon, was dirty when i got her, was a daily for the previous owner. I had 170k Original Miles, on the motor, and trans. Which, i think is still young. Its blue on blue, and aside from the driver seat being beat, the rear trunk carpet being trashed, and the headliner cracking, its in fairly decent shape. Cleaned up nicely.

if someone could please link me to a write up on, general tune up, really wouldnt like to spend more than 200$ more on this, would be good, trying to keep it stock, for now....

on to the pictures![car is currently sitting on 14inch steelies, and has a new pioneer headunit]
[please tell me what goodies this car has!!!]

welcome, just did a HG/tune up on mine. you are going to have 200 in just a honda MLS gasket and new head bolts... but you can reuse the stock head bolts and get a cheepo fel-pro gasket. would recommend getting the head re decked no matter what.

the fel-pro...i will never use one after seeing what happened to the one i pulled off my car.

you can see how the coolant "ate" the gasket

good luck and keep us informed!

yeah,, when i did the headgasket, i just got one from autozone, didnt see the need to spend 200$ on a gasket, and the autozone one is holding up just fine....in the process of replacing the coolinng system, then next is the motor stock rebuild. as i said previously, dont want to dump loads of money into this car now,, its just my daily.

you got any links to freshining up the wagon?>
