possible head issue, car wont start, not enough pressure

About 2 months ago I had a mechanic come & work on my car because it wouldn't start at all, no tuen over...nothing. He tells me 2 of the heads are broken & he can take it to a machine shop & get it fixed. After 2 months he finishes it.he tells me its fixed. The car starts beautifully. I sell my 95 civic coupe to dump all the money into fixing the wagon & get it over to another mechanic to fix the water pump, timing, a/c. That gets done, I drive the car for a few days & it suddenly it won't start right away. This goes on for a few more days & finally it stopped starting. It turns over, it primes, it wants to start but you can tell its not getting enough pressure. Is this the head? I'm thinking the bastard that took it to the machine shop screwed it up hoping he could get more cash from me. This is why I need to do it myself. Any help please.

look into the timing belt, cam, and tensioner.

sounds like the timing is not correct anymore. hopefully the cam didnt seize up in the head, or the timing belt didnt slip.

You can do a compression test. And yes, timing might be off.

Honestly I don't know the best way to find the right tool in US.
Maybe you can buy a comp. gauge for cheap at an automotive shop, maybe you know someone that can lend you one...

  • Well.... It's possible it could be a timing issue, but it could me quite a few other things aswell such as, no spark, no injector pulse, bad gas, PCM, ignition etc. The best advice I can give you is take it to a reputable shop and have them diagnose it. It will run u 75 to 100 bucks (US) This will identify the problem. At this point you can decide to fix it ur self or have them fix it depending on cost. Did u check all ur fuses?? Good luck.
