Grandpa's 91EE

Hey Everybody,
I'm new to this club, formerly a member of Club RSX, but she no longer a part of my life.
After devoting my life to my film career as a Cinematographer, I have only been able to afford necessities and camera equipment. After choosing to sell my most recent vehicle, the Hand-Me-Down, re-built, Gold 94 Accord Coupe for more film equipment I was without a car and in NEEED of wheels.
My grandfather had stopped driving and had this car sitting in his garage. The best part about it was the he NEVER drove it when he did drive. He was the first owner and gave it to me(for $1) with only 92k miles on it about 6 months ago!!! I have many plans for this awesome, soon to be super stealth, love machine and as I make modifications I will post up for those who would like to see.
I've only got a few photos right now, but these pics are from when we were shooting a scene for a Feature Length Film that we just completed. It is about to hit the festival circuit for now, but when it's run is through it will be online and I will also post it up for all to laugh at. Lates.

Welcome
have fun man, welcome
However, my right front caliper is F'ed and leaking fluid hard. I've got a bottle of Dot3 in the back though that I use to fill up the tank about once a week. Relying on the one braking system and my transmission is taking a toll on her. The silly automatic tranny is slipping too and not just up some hills, but also around a few corners even at slow speeds.
I'm sure it's probably got a bit to do with the way I drive her hard and put her away wet sometimes, but I hope it doesn't mean a new tranny within the next couple/few months. I've ordered parts so now I just need to get $#!7 done. I'm praying I can make her last until my planned full swap in about 8mo-1yr. Keep watch, and I'll update soon...
Can you explain what that camera is doing strapped to the hood? And the Mic taped to the dash?
Wheres the Pics or Video?
Looks like fun!
Take that gaffe tape off of your Honda emblem!
We were filming the car drive down the highway while the kid says his lines into a cell phone. We did this to another car as well to create the scene between the two boys talking about their broken ass cars.
The camera on the hood (Canon 5DmkII) is recording the video, but we are getting the good audio from an external recorder (Zoom H4N). The problem is that we have a program that automatically syncs the external audio to the camera's audio for easy editing, but it won't work unless the camera can capture audible sound waves. Thus, the crappy mic taped to the dash is getting sound for the camera, while the sound guy cramps up on the floorboard of the passenger seat holding a shotgun mic (Rode NTG2) that's plugged into the Zoom.
It was a really good time actually, we combined filming with a mini road trip. We drove from Los Angeles to Big Sur, camped and then went on to San Francisco. Unfortunately I got a flat in SF and it was halfass fixed until I got down to right above Santa Barbara and then it was dead forever. It was about 3 in the morning so I had nowhere to get a real tire and I wanted to sleep in my bed so I said &*^# it and rode the little donut from Santa Barbaba to LA and there's my avatar! Haha
The tape came off very quickly I can assure you. We only did it for the purpose of copyright issues HaHa!
I will definitely upload more as I get it from the director, but I'm even still waiting to get the footage from him so I can add it to my demo reel. For now if you'd like to see more you can check out the movie's Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/TurningPointTheMovie) or Blogspot (http://turningpointthemovie.blogspot.com/).
I'm also proud enough to say that it's made it all the way to an IMDB page.
P.S. Here's some more random pics from in our garage.
My GF and I entered a REAL, VALID, and 100% LEGITIMATE, video contest and we NEED votes. Go to SoyJoy's Facebook  (http://www.facebook.com/soyjoy?sk=app_108116475946033) and vote for 'Matt Bailey!' I promise it's as easy as clicking the 'VOTE' button. There's no need to register for anything, give your email, or any lame stuff like that!
If it gets enough votes we get to top 10 then they pick 3 of those to go to New York and compete in the Great Urban Race + $2,500!!!
You guys know where that cash will go too... WAGON UPGRADES! Which everyone will eventually get to see on here!
So help a brother out and VOTE for my video. Thanks in advance and thanks again!
LATES.
P.S. I made a build thread, so you should totally go there from now on. Lates!
