Whats the diffrence in coil over form and function

in Suspension, Braking & Wheels
i have noticed on the form and function type 1's i have seen red collars as in pic 2 and gold mine are gold colored as circled in pic 1 any body know the diffrence

    Are you seriously that concerned about the color that it required a thread (just curious)? They could have easily just been a separate build run or leftover stock collars, or the previous owner purchased new collars, which I have done in the past on some coilovers I have had. Could be a number of reasons but so far it looks that the only difference is the color and nothing more.

    And yes I felt it need a thread,I wanted to know if anybody else has noticed this i just want to make sure i didnt get ripped off by some nock off company.I have not seen any gold collared ones expect mine

    gen1s and gen2s. i beleive the gold ones are newer style coils.
