headgasket question

I bought a car a couple of months ago that was blowing white smoke after it warmed up it was sweet smelling so I figured it was the headgasket. So I bring it to my friends shop and we do the headgasket and timing belt, water pump and all new belts. The car ran fine so I was happy. 3k miles later I come home and drop off some groceries at my place and go to start up my car and it's chugging and blowing white smoke. I haven't had any symptoms like temp spike or anything like that. So I pull my plugs and the 3rd cylinder plug is gunky and covered in antifreeze. Long story short what would cause this to happen in such a short amount of time? The head was flat when I pulled it.

  • A tiny crack in the head that is hard to see, around cylinder 3.
A head that looks flat may be warped and not seen by the naked eye. "it needs to be machined"
Some may disagree but it can be a B!&ch if you don't do it right the first time.
Sorry to hear the bad news

Took apart the engine. I am getting good at this. Took me under an hour.. Anyway. The hg is junk the black stuff that is on the outside of the z6 headgasket was all melted and torn. Off to send the head to get pressure tested to see if there are any cracks.
