POSSIBLE short? fuse keeps blowing. inst. gauge. taillights.

i was driving home recently and my taillights , instrument gauge , licenese plate lights all went out, the most recent thing i did was change the corner lens bulbs to leds which involved splicing to a different plug, then recently i kinda fucked up my weather stripping on the roof so i think it might have leaked into my car at some point.. but i doubt it but its a possiblity. .
does any one have any expieriance with this problem at all ? im more than likely shit out of luck but its worth a try..

can replacing the fuse box be a good idea?

    i kept blowing my fuse when i added side markers, turns out i just need to up the amp rating to make up for the extra juice.
    that could be your issue as well since adding the LEDs? its worth a shot.

    i upgraded my 10 amps to 15 amps.

    i reconnected the bulb fixture i had off and ran a 40 and it just started smoking hella bad behind the fuse box, so i dissconnected the two corner lens bulbs and ran a 30 amp and that blew again. so does that eliminate the corner lens bulbs being the issue? im going to pop off the fuse box and see if theres any obvious flaws in the wiring..

    Not Kidding...

    I had the same situation going on and I couldn't find it... It was a suggestion from a friend who used to install radios said they did that all the time.. If you did install a radio recently... Check you radio wires.. You may have a grounding issue, from when you slid your radio back in...

    I really did have that problem.. And, the radio runs on the same illumination circuit as you gauges and taillights.

    Worth a shot right?

    you know what that was on the next thing to check because i did recently kick the fuck out of my stereo because the aux port broke..

    Really was the problem in my case, and when my friend told me to check it, I was like WTF?

    hopefully cuz if its not that idk what it will be , the corner lens and radio is all i wired so if its not that then i gotta take apart the dash and run all the wires with a voltometer.

    it was a wire with the radio but now my cigerrette lighter thing doesnt work fuckin pissin me off , just got ipod/cell phone charger too lol fawk back to square one
