Tn 91 ef wagon

Hello everyone,

Recently me (Brad) and my bestfriend (Brock) cooperatively bought a 91 ef civic wagon. Our plan is to completely rebuild it and swap in an H22A.
This is a new experience for both of us as we have never undertaken an engine swap, but you have to start somewhere. We can use any help that can be offered and will definitely be asking many questions during the process.

We have started a blog to easily update our progress along the way.

We are excited to be a part of this new community!

Well we finally picked the wagon up today, its a little rougher than expected but you cant expect too much when you only paid 350 dollars. Here are the beginning pics of it:

Fix your hatch hinges... Looks like one is going bad... I would say at least Lube or oil them ...

i have a white wago my self. they look amazing cleaned up. i commend the swap idea, if you are a 100% for sure that you want a h swap go for it but keep in mind that parts will be a little bit harder to find and you are going to have NO room under the hood, if you would want turbo it. Just my oppinion, look into a b swap. you will have more room under the hood and you can find parts like no ones buisness. ok for a small bit of advice, which ever swap you decide to go with you are going to have to modify a wiring harness, swap axles, and get mounts. do your reseach first and most of all have fun.
    good luck with the wago.

yeah the hatch door is near impossible to get the door to latch. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Your hatch looks like it is bending to the left.. Mine did this, but to the right... My right hinge was seizing.. You need to replace either the Left hinge or both, since you left one is already bent..

But, your in luck and I just found out the hard way that 88-91 2Dr Civic Hatchback hinges are the same and really easy to find...

Start with at least oiling the hinges...

So just a little update which I will include pictures of tomorrow. We got the front bumper off and began the process of removing the interior. Were planning on washing it tommorrow just to clean it up a little. Were debating on how to clean up the bumpers, moldings, and mud flaps to best restore them to black. Like I said pictures will be up tommorrow.

Also just for a little side note I had the chance to talk to the guys over at explicit speed about their H22 swap kit for the car, were definitely going to be using them. Their a great group of guys and more then helpful hopefully the kit will be on order here within the next couple of weeks.

Everyone continue checking out our blog! http://efwagon.blogspot.com/
