New from alaska!

just picked up a 1990 civic rt4wd. just turned over 201,000 miles. my last 4cyl didn't quite make it to 200K. old escort body pretty much sagged to the ground. I think i'll have this one around for much longer! i couldn't belive honda made a 4x4 before the cr-v, so i had to have it! this one is a little rough, but still runs and clutch is good. just wanted to say hello!!! and hope to gain a ton of info, so help this newb out!

Welcome... Nice!
all dressed up after a fishin trip
going to use this rig for a DD now so i can build a set of twins for the truck. okay, the biggest reason is i double my fuel mileage. hope to win the latto or inherit a lambo to sell for my twin setup due to not having any more jeeps to sell haha

thanks, wonder what they came off of, picked them up off craigslist so i didn't have to swap out the studs on the steelies every summer, now i have a complete set for studs and summer tires. these alum ones defiantly balanced a lot easier than the steelies, went ahead and rebalanced everything because i would have this tire machine at my new job.
well after my first day and the cars colant temp kept bouncing all over the place i picked up some coolant, leaving the auto parts store it got hot on me, ended up putting 1/2 gal in the radiator and overflow on the hwy. definitely wasn't pleased, ever since it hasn't gone past about 1/4th and i don't appear to be loosing any coolant. makes me wonder what else i'll find out.
right now when the car is cold for about the first 15min at hwy speed it misses. feels like 1 cyl isn't firing. after that it runs like a dream. the tach jumps all over the place about 1-1.5K above actual rpms. last owner said that its always been like that and the owner before him did "something with the injectors" because he thought it was them. been doing some research here and think it might be the dizzy, which after using google realized that is what you guys refer to as the distributor. am i correct :?:
maybe is a wildly known fact and you guys could give me a freebee, if not, the search button will be worn out!
thanks!!!!

your cummins is full of win. around here you rarely see a lifted dually, how is the traction offroad?
welcome
dizzy is the improper way of saying/typing distributor
it gets me where i want to go offroad, had the steps up to mud with a stone bottom and got through just fine. some fat singles are much more suited for the mud. and skinny singles for the snow.. no complaints though, give a little take a little.
thanks for the info on the dizzy!

good looking car. Always loved that color of brown. Is it rusted? The Cummins is nice too. Got a friend that builds diesels for a living. those trucks are capible of amazing things. I spend a lot of time in a mega dually. Roomy trucks for sure. Wish i could afford my own
all cleaned up as i was working on the eng.
tearing into it due to blown hg...the first day i registered it in my name...
4 hrs later

HO 6 speed with 150hp ddp injectors, boost elbow, afe intake, 3" intake manifold, tunnel ram intake, 5" exhaust, and an edge juice with attitude programmer. way too much fuel for my stock hx35 but ive been dumping all my money into my wagon to get ready for autox. plan is to twins or a super b. i have an ST50 off a 400 cummins semi truck that i want to use for a homemade set-up but i cant make up my mind.
