Introducing Rhonda the Honda

Introducing, and soon selling our dear and extremely versatile Rhonda. Over the last 20 years we’ve owned her, she's absolutely never missed a beat; From time trials at the racetracks of Buttonwillow, Laguna Seca & Willow Springs, to the daily work commute. From exploring the back-roads of Susanville, to cruising the Las Vegas strip. She's been camping 282 feet below sea level in Death Valley, and won the D-Street prepared season championship with the local college autocross club. She was decorated with whipping cream and tin cans in tow at our wedding, and then took us on our Honeymoon to the Hoodo desert of Canyonlands & Arches Utah. The Golden Gate, Big Sur, Mount Whitney, Anza Borrego-- like Johnny Cash says- “She’s been everywhere.” Well, in the SouthWestern United States at least.... (Sorry Johnny).

But alas, with two small kids now in tow, she's a bit small. And with only lap belts in the back seat, we find that old Rhonda is sitting more and more while the more modern wagon with air-bags and shoulder belts is taken out. So, rather than letting the spiders take over, we’ve decided to sell her to someone who will enjoy and carry on the great Honda Wagon tradition.

I’ll post next in the “what its worth” thread of General Discussion, and answer any and all questions here or there! Enjoy-

Jen & Ehren from California.

WHOA.. Rhonda is beautiful!! dont sell!
  • Thanks for the compliment! Unfortunately, we have 5 cars and 1 motorcycle, and with 2 kids, its too much to keep maintained. She was great for camping when it was just for two... but now with 4, we take the VW van. For racing, I picked up a CRX that is faster. The family wagon has become an airbagged Toyota Corolla, and the motorcycle is perfect for commuting around town. The 5th car is a VW bus restoration.... It is not fair for Rhonda to just sit and let the spiders and dust take over.....

if i had the room and cash, i would pick up Rhonda in a heartbeat.
  • Anyone can run the big tracks, just check out nasaproracing.com and watch for one of their drivers schools to get started. Or, for a more laid back event, check Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Southern California. The Alfa club welcoms any make & model and they are a great bunch.
  • Well, she's posted on e-bay. Search "1980 Honda Civic Wagon EK1" and you should see her there.

    Enjoy!
