89 wagon brake booster Help PLZ

I need some input please. I've done a search for this but didn't hit anything.
I started out to change my master cylinder due to lack of brakes once in a while.
when I removed the master cylinder there was fluid around in the booster inside. the MC replacement instructions said to replace the booster if there was fluid there. I got a replacement and dove in. The "civic" manual says to undo the 4 bolts and pedal pin under the dash and the booster will come out off the firewall. Now I'm at wall, or should I say manifold. the intake manifold seems to be in the way. Am I missing somthing, 'cause it aint coming out. Does something else need to be removed?

You may have to move the intake manifold, or undo the engine mounts and shift the engine forward. I haven't personally run into this problem, maybe someone else here has...

How much more clearance do you need?

From the looks of it, I need at least an inch to clear the brake pedal rod, in the booster, from the firewall.

Gotta pull the intake, any one who has done this will agree. It's a pain in the a** but way better than trying to lean the engine outta the way.

    Thanks,
I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that.
