Car won't start!!! Someone know something?

I searched and didn't find anything so.....
Just got finished swapping a bad head for a good one, and everything went great, except now it won't start, just turns over. The timing is right, had the dizzy tested and it's fine. Has new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, all sensor plugs have been checked over and over, I even silicone greased them all. Getting fuel and spark. We are just out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!! :?: :!:

It was throwing code 15 and 16 which is ignition output signal, and fuel injectors, but since I changed the plug wires (two of them were not making connection on the dizzy) no codes have shown up.

Oh, and the car ran fine (besides the burnt or stuck valve lol) before the swap, no codes or anything.

Got it started, now it's overheating, and has a fluctuating idle. I'm hoping the overheating problem is just air in the coolant system. Any one know how to bleed it? Thanks :)
  • The overheat could just be a stuck thermostat not letting coolant into the system. Old Hondas love to eat the original thermostats and eventually the head gasket like mad when they start reaching certain points.

Fluctuating idle and roughness could mean grime or junk in the system. Did any junk get inside of your intake, or could you have possibly dropped something into the block or head from when you changed everything? If you manage to find what's causing your overheating and still have a rough idle try sea-foaming the crap out of it. That and some air-intake cleaner fixed my rough idle right up like it was nothing.

EDIT!: I know it's all amateurish sounding tips, but I'm honestly pretty new to cars so I don't know many of the more technical things that may be going wrong.

1st how did you get the car to start?
2nd is there any smoking? If so what color?
3rd did you swap identical heads or was it an upgrade/downgrade?
4th did you use a new headgasket or the old one? Also did you clean the block/head mating surface perfectly without knicking anything?
Just stuff that would help us help you.

    1. Timing belt, did it like 4 different ways before it was right. We wern't putting the tension spring on before doing the 1/4 turn counterclockwise to put tension on the belt, and we also hooked up the exhaust, and gave some back pressure, but I think it was just timing.

    2. Yes, there was quite a bit of smoke. Think it was white, maybe darker at first, and some of it was due to coolant spilt all over.

    3. Same grade lol. We put a d15b7 head (i think, that's what the guy said when I bought it anyway) on a d15b2 block. The d15b2 had a burnt or stuck valve.

    4. Used a new headgasket, and cleaned the surface good. Don't think we nicked anything.

My buddy said that the timing belt might be too tight. Had the same experience.

Alrighty, well we loosened the timing belt a little, and started it up and everything appeared to be ok. Took it for a drive and brought it back to adjust the timing and noticed the radiator had a crack in the top where the air cleaner "snorkel" bolts up. Then noticed it had another crack @ the other bolt, so we must have leaned too hard on it or something. Should have just taken it off. So now I need some j.b. weld, and a timing light and I'm good to go I think. One thing after another with this car. It's gona have a new head, new timing belt, water pump, alternator belt, starter, battery, o2 sensor, temp sending unit, temp sensor, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air cleaner, tranny fluid, and I'm sure I forgot somthing lol.

Yeah, cracked radiator will freak it out every time! Glad it's fixed though.
