Hey, y'all from central Mississippi

Hey folks, been lurking on here for a while and thought I'd join.

I bought my wagon new in 1990, and it is my favorite car ever. (Got my first car in 1974). This car started my love affair with Honda. At my house we have this '90 wagon, a '93 Integra, a '95 Accord and a '00 CRV. We had an '88 CRX and a '97 Civic 2-door coupe but they're history.

I looked for some good photos of The Turtle but this is the best I could come up with. In the top pic, that is a plan sheet laying on the hood, I was on a site visit.

Currently he is up in the barn waiting for a fuel pump and not looking very photogenic. :p

Everything on the Turtle is stock. :)

Nope. Hubby too busy in the hayfield right now. I did talk him into helping me get it out of the barn and down to the house for a bit of cleanup and pictures. :)

Seems to me that fender and hood were replaced sometime during the 90's due to a fender-bender. The fender is newer than the door, in other words. The doors do seem to be fading at a different rate than the body as well.

How I came to buy a wagon: When I got out of graduate school I moved here with my two small kids (one was 3 yrs old and the other was a baby of six months). I had a '77 Chevy which my ex-husband had bought for $300. After I had been working a year, I had enough money to get this car brand-new but I had to get a lease in order to afford the payments. After four years on lease, I bought it from the lease company.

It's been the best vehicle I've ever owned, hands down. I've never had any issues at all, like a Timex it just keeps ticking. :)

I wish I could've bought a brand spanking new wagon! Lol. Im technically the third owner of mine even though the 2ndstuff owner was my uncle and he only had it a month or two before he sold it to me.

'twas my first brand-new car ever. I've only had two brand-new cars in my life. One of my kids totalled the other one.

I don't know, we have so many other projects going on, and about to buy some land in the country. I had always wanted to restore the car to original condition ... don't know if I'll ever get the time or $. :/
