Hazard light does not work.

Hazard light does not work when I turn on the switich on a steering wheel, 89 wagon. Each turn signal is working properly but hazard not. What is wrong? What shoud I check first? Thanks

    Slide it on & off fast & furious .Sometimes the contacts are corroded.

    Thanks. I just slided several times but it did work. so I try to slide it again fast&furious, then it worked.
