will a solid driveline in an rt4wd let u run your car RWD?

I cant remeber who i was talking to about this i think it was shenrie but i may be wrong. anywho im looking into getting a sold driveline made to help me out auto x'ing but im also wondering will the transmission let the car run RWD (rear wheel drive) of course as long as u leave a set of axle ends in the hubs so you dont waste your wheel bearings and leave your half shaft on as well as leaving the pasenger side inner cv joint in the tranny so u dont leak fluid everywhere. i know this can be done with CRV trannies but can our 4wd civic trannies do this as well? if possible i would love to try some drifting with my wagon at some local events the look on peoples faces would be priceless.

Don't see why it wouldn't work.

im just affraid with all that crap in the tranny that devides the power from front to rear that somehow it just wont work..... i cant belive no one has tried this out.

I always just assumed that if i removed my front axels but left the CV stubs in the gearbox then it would run RWD.

Welding the center diff to run full time is already pushing it:
...that transfer case wasn't designed to handle continuous load, all the time. Just because its been done doesn't mean squat. I want to hear someone who has done it say "yes, it was a good idea and I would do it again". I've managed to pull off a few "first-to-try" projects...doesn't mean they were a good idea or that I would do them again.

Removing the front axles and forcing all output through the transfer case:
...Now forcing all the power through the transfer case. Same questionable idea, just doused with gasoline. Additionally, I've been told that rotating wheel bearings with no axles chew themselves up pretty quick. I don't know if that last piece of information is true or not.

thats why above i said leave axle ends in the front so u dont wear out your wheel bearings. im gunna try it and if i break the t-case oh well there is a spare one in the junkyard....
