New Member in Atlanta - Help!

Hey everyone, I just joined the forum and I need a little advice on a craigslist ad. I have been looking for a daily driver for awhile now (I'm 20 and still don't have a car...). I have been heavily researching BMW e30's, but I have kept my eye on wagons as well.

The guys says it's clean on the inside, but I'm more worried about the mechanics. What do you think about 300k miles?

    Welcome! With that mileage it all comes down to how well it was maintained, but either way parts get old and just get worn. So you might be looking at some work on down the line. I'm actual from Decatur and I've seen that car quite often in my area, so I know its a daily driven car. Either way if you go check it out feel free to post up some questions!

    Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure that I'm going to pursue it just because of the mileage. If I bought a wagon, I would want something with maybe half the mileage of this one, but that's just me.

    I've spoken to the guy. He seems well-intentioned and has had it for a good while. It sounds like he's taken pretty good care of it. The only concern I had was body condition- mechanicals are my friend!

    Is the body not in good shape? If I picked this up I probably wouldn't even put it on the road until I fixed it up some and got it painted. How is the interior?

    I don't know, I haven't seen the car in person. I was just saying that I am more concerned with body than mechanical.

    Hey bam-bam, go ahead and pick this one up. I don't think the time is right for me, so if you do pick it up and fix it up a bit, I might take it off your hands 6 months from now!
