Have u ever checked the trade-in value of your wagon on KBB?

Kelly Blue Book... kbb.com

I saw a '95 Odyssey in Denver for $2695 that I wanted so I was honest and checked the trade in value of my wagon. 236,000 miles really killed it. $450

Looks like I won't be making a trade-in!

  • My trade in was $375. Doh.

Once your car gets past a certain age it's always better to just sell it outright.
  • Yeah but it's just easier to trade it in
  • 800 hell yeah haha
  • Yeah when I was selling my mint clean ass 91 Si people were like, blue book is 1200. Yeah right, piss off.
  • well they are right.

You just have to find a buyer with the same values about Hondas that you (and we) have.
  • This is an important thing to understand:

Most folks tell the 'gubmint' they paid like $100.00 for older cars to reduce the sales tax and license fees. Dealers also offer ridiculously low amounts for trades and at auctions.

Since these are the only 'official' records of price, KBB, Edmunds etc. will always quote prices that are nowhere near reality.

When dealing with potential buyers, these facts often bring them around to reality concerning the true value of these special cars... educate potential buyers and bring them into the fold by pointing them to this site and others with links to pictures of completed rides - it'll help the whole market.

  • 95 odesseys are the absolute coolest mini-van ANYONE could own.

If you have an RT, and you want to make some $$$$, bring it down to florida.
It is typical however, for only honda people, to look at older hondas. So you can get away with putting $1500 in the window.
I'd pay 1200 all day long for a non leaking RT that runs smoothly and of course has AC...I mean, hell, 235k on the od, she might consume a little oil. But for what you get, 30mpg+/- a few, AC, more room...it's a great addition to the honda collector. <<<Like the Head said.

    Plus, new cars suck.
  • If someone is looking to buy a 88-91 Civic chassis of any kind, and they are looking at mileage, it’s not the right car for them.
