RT4wd 3rd Gen Window Sill Trim Removal?

I tried a search and I found some threads but nothing specific enough to help me. If there is already a thread please provide the link. I want to take the window sill plates off my wagon and put on a new set, is there a way or trick to doing this without breaking the clips and the brittle old sill plates?

    I tried it when we painted my wifes wagon and couldn't figure it out.... I broke about half of the clips and had to wait till I found another wagon in the junk yard to get new clips..at honda they were 60 bux for just 4....
