D16z6 wiring help!

I swapped a d16z6 into a 88 civic that is dual point. I have been following a do it your self page that explains all the wiring, however right at the end it is really unclear about wiring the z6 harness into the main plugs. here is a link to the write up. http://www.angelfire.com/d20/hcivic8...nginecomp.html

This is the most popular artical about this on google, So I figured people must have used this write up before, I just don't know what I'm not getting.

We have looked all over the internet, and at wiring diagrams and is not clear what steps are next!

    If you're trying to use the d16z6 harness, there's your problem.
  • reuse the OG engine harness and do the MPFI wiring swap on it
    then
    do an OBD1 adaption system and wire in the Vtec stuff
    win/profit

    Rule of thumb: use the harness that came with the car. If you plan on going vtec either get a jumper harness or wire vtec seperate.

    agreed, I used my old dpfi and added the few I needed, since I was going obd1I pitched the resistor box.
