84 civic wagon owner

Hi to all,

Trying to get my wagon on the road. I am trying to keep it in stock condition so I need a few parts. I have the 1500 carbed engine (EW1). Anyone have an air suction valve muffler lying around? Mine is rusted out. Also need a right rear tail light, left front turn light (the one on the corner of the fender). Can someone tell me what the relays just in front of the battery are for? There are three of them and the one closest to the center is corroded badly. Another issue I have is that the cooling fan will not stay running. If I jump out the thermo switch on the bottom of the radiator it will come on but will not stay on when the ignition is turned off. what makes the timer keep the fan on? That's about the majority of my issues anyway. Love the car and can't wait to get it on the road.

Looks like you are determined to get it going.

    Where are you located?

I miss my old 84 wagon. I pulled out my old Haynes but couldn't find the relay's but a pic always helps.
  • I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Christiansburg, VA. The relay is just forward of the battery mounted just left (looking from front of vehicle at engine bay) of the radiator. There are three relays there mounted together side by side. I haven't been able to find a good picture to post. Nor have I been able to find the relays in a wiring diagram. Thanks for any help you can provide. Do you have a wagon now? Jeff.
