New to the Hcw Familiar With the Wagons!

Hello-
I live in the Seattle WA area, I have owned 5 wagons so far my wife and I both drive civic wagons heres a little info on both-

1991 Honda civic wagon 4wd 134xxx miles1.6 completely stock and original (except for paint)have all service records from new, I am the 3rd owner. was originally an Eastern WA car so has rust in wheel wells from salted roads,Interior in good condition with few stains. I bought this car about a month ago off of CL I drove 5 hours each way with my duramax and car hauler. once I got it home I vacuumed and armor-all the interior. It is in my shop now getting the head gasket changed and the head surfaced on the stock d16.

FUTURE PLANS - roof rack, paint job, tires wheels, HID's, CD deck, tint ..... Have all the parts for a turbo set up, just not sure I want to go that way or just have a dependable daily!

1990 Honda Civic Wagon FWD 205xxx miles 1.5 d15b7 jdm low miles swap, completely stock interior except for CD deck, I bought this car 6 months ago and it was burning so much oil I could not see the cars behind me when I downshifted or accelerated! I bought a JDM import d15b7and tranny and swapped it, also added new radiator, HID headlights, I have driven this car to SE Idaho and back a dozen times no joke, thats 1600 miles roundtrip and this baby purrs the whole way while getting 37mpg and hauling my family and my 2 labrador retrievers in the back! My wife even made a sticker for her car to show her love for it!

FUTURE PLANS- My sweet wife would love for it to be painted! So thats first is paint then wheels/tires, window tint, and I need to Re-install the A/C

I like that color blue on the wag.... I think some white racing stripes would really set it off!

I haven't taken the RT out in the dirt yet but i did just pick up a new set of studded tires and a rack off a mini van that I will be modifying and installing shortly!

This is going to be my snowboarding roadtrip wagon this winter! cant wait to get out there and go bustin' through some drifts!
  • fuckin that blue is sooooo goodlooking, you're in washington?! we gotta meet up sometime
  • I love the dark blue also! I live in Auburn, Im the guy with the Grey Wag. on CL that "5waysout" bought and built the "From Sh*t to Shine Wagon Build Thread" I also had a white wagon I was parting out at the time.... Anyway hit me up next time you go for a cruise!
  • UPDATE 11/17/10
Added another member to our wagon family! 1988 wag stock d15 5 speed 180xxx runs great (now)!
I found this wagon on CL in a city 5 hours away and made arrangements to pick it up, the following weekend I drove down and towed it home it was so low that the tow bar wouldnt reach my ball hitch on my truck because of the angle so i removed front bumper and towed 'er on home!
The following morning I wake up bright and early so that i can play with my new toy! I started the car and let it idle for ....Hell prolly 40 mins I kept checkin the temp guage waiting for warmup and never did next thing I know there is Steam bellowing out from under the hood! I turned off the car and opened the hood luckily it was just the overflow hose steamin alot but still overheated! when the car cooled off I checked the temp guage wire and sure enough not plugged in. (this should have been my first clue that I need to check this car over......) I checked the fan plug next and it wasnt plugged in either! After plugging it in and starting the engine the fan turned on and cooled it down perfect temp range so I though what the hell lets go for a ride! I only drove around a five mile loop and the engine was running good and strong. The last mile back to my shop the shifting started to get really spongy and soft. Just as I pulled off the road into my driveway the shifter goes limp and I just coasted into my shop. Just as I enter the shop I hear a crunching sound and the car slammed to a stop! I thought I had hit something inside my shop doors! I got out and looked around and I didnt hit anything so I checked under the car and the shift link had dropped down in the front and when it hit the edge on the concrete floor of the shop it crumpelled into a Z.
Since then I have thoroughly inspected and tuned up the entire car! including a deep clean inside and cleanin up the engine bay. the car is so slammed that it hits bumpstop most of the time... but at least it looks cool.. haha here are some pics not sure what future holds for this green machine...
  • some pics of the dirty wag!
  • Let me know a few Ideas for this ride, im not sure what to do with it?
