Rescued This RT4WD

Owner got mad it didn't start for him one day, so he smashed the hood and smashed the windshield.

The reason it wouldn't start, part of the air filter box was broken and wedged between the throttle body and the throttle plate.

$100 and a tow later, it was in my garage. It cranked, fired, and drove on the first try.

It has a long ways to go, I've bought a new hood and windshield from Honda...but that's about as far as I've made it.

What exhaust manifold, turbo and down pipe is that - I'm loving that it clears the a/c pump. Looks almost stock.
  • So lucky bro people search and pay tons more for a rt4wd like me lol

    It's a Greddy 14g Turbo. Greddy Manifold & Downpipe.

I'll have to snap some current pics when I go to the shop this week...though there's not a lot to show other than an empty engine bay, no front suspension and the transmission is in about as many pieces as it can possibly be. lol

Is that turbo specifically made for the d series or did it come off another car??
  • I think so?

I bought it second hand. The exhaust manifold, hot side and down pipe are D-series specific.

I'm torn between just putting it back together and getting it on the road again, or doing a proper build on it.

I really am missing having a clean, fun Honda for a DD...I think I'll continue driving the Miata until I'm able to get this to a body shop and get the engine/transmission up to snuff.

I traded the Miata in on a '02 S2000, so now I have my nice DD. The wagon is going to be a build over the summer with plans to have it going for the winter.

Next purchase I'm looking at is the FJ Distributors bottom end kit. :)

Great looking wagon. Digging those rims. Great progress. Can't wait to see how it looks when near completion.
