To Trade or not to Trade?

so i could use some advise. i found what seems to be the one and only awd wagon in reno. i went to check it out tonight and this thing is clean. your classic blue with white steels. a small dent in passenger fender and rear door with a little damage to the rear quarter. that im not worries about. 170xxx miles. new timing belt,rad, distributer. clean. the only way ill get this thing is if i trade my bike. i have a 2003 gsxr600. with a good bit of work to it, it still values over 3300. winter is here and i have no car. alls i have is an old 1990 trooper the need more work then i feel like doing. plus i have a guy who wants to trade me his bike for my trooper. im kind of over the street bike scene( because i ride it 9 out of 12 months) and im looking to build an old cafe racer. my question is do i take the lost on this trade? do i take into consideration how rare these wagons are? i still feel im loosing over 1000 dollars. i wish he could at least throw me a few hundred on top. do i make this trade to get the car i want?
