Found a wagon what is a good price?

Hello all im new here, I have been looking for a wagon for a while they are pretty hard to find here in Socal (for a 4wd).

About the car,its an 86 light blue color it has 122k very clean inside and out. The engine bay is spotless. No outside rust that i can visibly see. I still have to get under the car, but considering its a CA car i dont expect much rust.

The guy is asking $1650 is this a good price?

Thanks

I've been looking for one too, I want the maroon one with the plad seats
  • I would be willing to pay $1650 for that car if it has no rust or body damage or major mechanical issues. It looks pretty clean in the pics.
  • Newvermind the car....moar pixXxsss...

Yeah so do I but i cant find any for sale even remotely close to my location
  • Buy that one and I will trade you :D

I like the not so popular Hondas.
  • I also prefer the 88-91 style, but that is one clean, low-mileage car. I just paid $1600 for an 88RT with 219k, needing paint, seatcovers and lots of other little stuff. I'd say that the price is good if you want the car.
  • Did you buy the wagon? I know most prefer the 88-91 body, but there are people (like me) that love the old(er) school wagons, too. With 122K, no rust, clean interior and 4X4, you can't really go wrong at $1600. If you can dicker down a bit, even better! I bought my '85 with 164K miles on it and now it has 204K just 18 months later. Other than a few minor maintenance issues, I've done nothing to the car but drive it. Toyota Prius for 25 grand? I think no. I get ~33 mpg consistently, sometimes better. The car sips gas and scoots along with the best of 'em.

I say buy it or someone else will and you'll be kicking yourself. You can always buy it, drive it for a while and then sell it for more when the economy gets even worse.

    Just my two cents.
