New from Hawaii

Aloha from Oahu. Saw a really nice wagon a couple years ago and I have wanted once ever since. I haven't seen many wagons in good condition on the road here and what I really want is an RT4WD so I might have to ship one in. I currently own an EJ1 and a CD5 but the wagon is my new pursuit. Anyone else from Hawaii on here?

welcome :) My family has a condo out in Waianae. I was there in July and really didn't see any hondas at all. post some pics!
  • I lived in Honolulu for two years and worked as a bike messenger there for about 6 months. Miss that place all the time. Sushi King for their midnight sushi specials, shrimp trucks on the north shore, buying beer for the locals whenever I went to the beaches that most haole wouldn't usually go to...I need to buy some tickets.

    Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm suprised you didn't see any Hondas here on Oahu Mandalore88. There a ton of hondas running around on Oahu. Just a heads up, Waianae is one of the places where a lot the stolen Hondas are recovered.
Smart move buying beer for the locals at certain beaches Superhatch. It can get kinda hairy at "Local's only" spots even for people who grew up here. As for Sushi King and the wonderful shrimp-trucks on the North Shore I am pretty sure they will be glad to see you when you return.

    Mahalo Nui Loa!

Yeah Waianae can get pretty wild. Sometimes just saying hello to the locals makes a big difference.

It seemed that mini trucks were way more popular than hondas/imports

I refer to Waianae as the "Wild West" on Oahu. I agree that saying hello and just having a friendly demeanor helps a lot when you are in Waianae and a lot of other places here on Oahu the are not the usual tourist destinations. Mini Trucks are very popular here but if you would like to see some nice Hondas attend one of the car shows (like HIN) if you have a chance. There are also "Honda Cruises" on a pretty regular basis. Check out ForumsHawaii.net the next time you are out here and want to check out a cruise or show. They have "all kine" stuff on there.
