Front Seating

ok.. yes i searched and searched.

i can not find a clear answer. i know you can put any seat you want pretty much in, but with some major customzing.

but what seat is a DIRECT bolt it? if there is any? or what is the easist swap.

    Direct bolt-in? Wagon seats. :P

    Del Sol seats have been done a few times before, hit up Duckie cause he did del sol seats into his wagon.

    haha it was pretty simple. just take the rails off the wagon and the delsol seats and swap the wagon rails onto the delsol underside. it takes some hacking to get those rails off, but be careful when you do so so you dont bend anything out of place. once that's done, you mate the wagon rail onto the delsol seat. it'll go pretty much in the same place, just on the delsol seat. when you've matched them up, drill a small hole, thread it, and get a screw, bolt and washer and get them together. it'll take some adjustment to get the holes to line up, but once you get them lined up, you'll love it. the feel of the delsol seat is GREAT.

    if you've got anymore questions, give me a PM. if you do decide to get those delsol seats, take some detailed pics of the underside and of the rails n such, and i'll point out what you need to seperate and what you need to put together.

    I got some Evo seats to put in, but in the end I just found that CRX seats with a pan swap would be easier, and fit the car much better in terms of an old school look.

    I wish someone try a more common seat. Something cheap that no one wants, like from a 96-00 Civic.

    I'm gonna try tan/grey cloth rsx seats, they should be cheap enough, everybody wants black leather...

    I just got a set of 91 CRX seats which are now sitting next to my Recaro Lancer Evo seats. I honestly think that the CRX seats have more bolster support than the Recaros.

    The issue I have with the CRX seat is the length of the bottom- they are a little short, which for me creates a pressure point mid thigh- I put a set of 97 Prelude seats in my 89 Si- required some welding- and I am very happy with the comfort- it should be noted, they sit a chunk higher than the EF seats.

    swapping brackets is a relatively easy solution.
