Big SOHC fan new to board it Portland Oregon
Just wanted to introduce myself, My name is Wryann VanRiper I live in Portland OR. I have been building Honda’s for many years! My first Honda was a 92 Civic HB DX with the D15b7 engine, I learned a lot about how reliable a Honda could be!! Anyway I went to school for automotive and made that my profession!! I currently own a performance shop in Portland called VIP Performance, at my shop my expert crew and I offer full service auto repair, dyno tuning, some fab, including roll cages, we offer corner scaling . About 3 years ago I started a project for my shop to advertise and showcase are work, the project became known to are shop and others as “ Project SOHC” the goal was to make a super fast SOHC powered car that would beat as may people as possible!! Here in Portland OR we have late night drag racing at Portland International Raceway Friday and Saturday nights, Pretty cool, I know!! Anyway it’s only about a 10min drive from the shop! So it’s on uncommon to see me out there racing on the weekends. But don’t let that fool you….I not “one track minded” LOL. I’m into building well rounded cars!! I enjoy autoX, lapping days, and rally cross, and show cars! Nothing wrong with looking good and going fast.
My goal here is…….
-to shear as much knowledge as I can with the Civic Wagon community, I use this method with my customer too, “if I can educate you then we can go further”
-I’m going to share my current projects, this includes my SOHC and my new RT4wd wagon project!!
Enough rambling here's my cars...
86 Toyota with Honda S2000 F20c swap

My 2000 Nissan Skyline Gtt

My SOHC powerd coupe

And the Civic Wagon!! your going to love the build thread on this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol charb my brother, you dont even know! jk man but wryann is a good friend of mine and does all my turbo tuning "dude is a freak when it come to tuning and car!" (thats a complament wryann. lol) i've never been disapointed or let down with any of there work, so if any local wagon guys need help or any info vip is the place for sure.
ps if you think his cars are sick you should see his SPREE moped!!! lol
only problem with this would be a place to do it at, i mean we could use his parking lot behind the shop I guess. But that'd depend on how many wagons show up haha. Good idea though haha
Well last time I checked the shop had plenty of room, this is a pic from one of are annual shop BBQ's!!
Thanks for the kind words man! how's you new wagon anyway?? But we will touch on the spree's a little later, LOL!!
